2024 Auspicious Light Festival + Maha Prajnaparamita Repentance Puja
View All🌺Maha Prajnaparamita (大般若忏) on December 25: This ceremony was established by the esteemed monk Renshan Jizhen of the Qing Dynasty, who was inspired by the profound essence of the 600-volume "Prajnaparamita Sutra." This repentance is intended to help scholars repent their sins and accumulate merits to enter into the concept of emptiness.
🌺 Auspicious Light Festival (吉祥圆根灯会): This event was originally founded by Tibetans in honor of Master Tsongkhapa. The festival involves thousands of participants collectively lighting hundreds of thousands of butter lamps, creating an auspicious mandala setup for great offerings, and cultivating both blessings and wisdom simultaneously.
🌺 Dedication of Merits: The merits from this ceremony are dedicated to all sponsors and their families, beings of all realms like mothers, and relatives who have passed away, for the elimination of obstacles, diseases, and disasters, alongside the increase of blessings and wisdom, the fulfillment of good aspirations, family safety, and auspiciousness.
