View AllWith the power of the great compassion of Avalokitesvara Bodhisattva, he manifested as a thousand-hand and thousand-arm Bodhisattva, responding to any being’s plea, caring for and protecting all beings.
In remembrance of the compassionate vows of Avalokiteśvara Bodhisattva, on this sacred day of His Holy Birthday, the assembly gathers with utmost sincerity and reverence to collectively recite The Universal Gate Chapter of the Lotus Sūtra (The Chapter on the Bodhisattva Avalokiteśvara) as the main liturgical practice of the Dharma assembly.
Through the merits of sutra recitation, devotional praise, and sincere prostrations, immeasurable stores of merit and wisdom are accumulated. Blessings and wisdom increase in harmony, benefiting both oneself and others, with virtues that are supreme and beyond measure.
