YS - Offer 7 Medicine Buddha Vow Lamps for 49 Consecutive Days

💫 For whom do we perform virtues for:
If oneself or closed ones meet any obstacles in life or cultivation, supplicate for good health, cultivate virtues and increase bliss, and dedication of merits. 

💫  Benefits of making light offering:
It is mentioned in the Sutra of Merit and Virtue of the Past Vows of Master Vaidurya Light Tathagata that if one recites the sutra 49 times, lights 49 lamps, creates 7 Tathagata statues, and before each statue, offer 7 lights of which the illumination is as big as a cart wheel, for 49 days, the brilliance (of the merits) will be inexhaustive. 

Offer 7 Medicine Buddha Vow Lamps to all Buddhas to illuminate the 3 billion world systems to benefit all beings to be free from suffering and pain, attain wisdom, and for all wishes to be fulfilled and perfect. 

💫 What kind of virtues do donors create: 
Dedication to sponsors or those who seek blessings for calamities to be averted, to have good health and increased blessings, for supporting the monastery to propagate the Dharma to benefit all beings.

🌷Setup of offering altar: Medicine Buddha altar with various offering items will be set up for those seeking to avert calamities. 
🌷 Offering Medicine Buddha Life Extension banner: offering of large size Life Extension banner before the Medicine Buddha, with names of those for dedication written on it for blessings. 
🌷 Huge Inscription for averting calamities: Inscription of names for those seeking to eliminate calamities and accumulate bliss will be placed before the Medicine Buddha.
🌷 The Sangha will lead all to offer food to all beings, karmic creditors and debtors on 07 Nov, Saturday, dedicating the merits for the elimination of karmic and illness-related obstacles, the resolution of karmic debts and enmities, peace and well-being of body and mind, and the increase of merits and wisdom. May all sentient beings with karmic connections be free from suffering, attain happiness, and share in the benefits of the Dharma.
🌷 Donors are also welcome to personally participate in the “Smoke Offering Ritual” on 07 Nov, Saturday, joining the Sangha and fellow devotees in the practice and sharing in the merits.
🌷 Three (3) consecutive days of reverent recitation of the Medicine Buddha Repentance, praying for blessings, repentance and purification of negative karma, and dedication of merits.
🌷 Grand Offerings before the Buddha, with prayers for blessings and dedication of merits.
🌷 On the Completion Day of the Medicine Buddha Puja, the Sangha and devotees will respectfully recite the Medicine Buddha Sutra and sincerely pray for blessings.
🌷 Merits accumulated from the series Medicine Buddha Obstacle-Clearing for Blessings, Longevity Puja will be dedicated for: help all sentient beings of the 6 realms to seek repentance with a mind of refuge and Bodhicitta, eliminate enmities, make aspirations and dedications, equipping with full conditions of the 4 Powers of Confession, for all karmic obstacles, sickness, and non-human obstacles, etc., to be eliminated, smooth conditions to increase, obstacles for learning the Dharma be eliminated, immediate increase of bliss and virtues in current lifetime, abundant clothing, food and resources in future lives, receiving the protection and guidance of Triple Gem life after life.
