Ullambana - Repaying Kindness & Filial Piety Offering (Limited Quantity)

💫 Significance of Ullambana
🌻 Even though Maudgalyayana was foremost in possessing psychic powers, he could not save his mother from the hungry ghost realm with his powers. Buddha advised Moggallana that he could only achieve doing so through offering 4 items (food, clothings, living necessities, and medicine in a receptacle to the Sangha on the completion day. retreat. 
🌻 Maudgalyayana followed Buddha’s advice and through the power of making offering to the Sangha, his mother was able to be reborn in Trāyastriṃśa heaven to enjoy bliss.
🌻 Buddha also said that the merits accumulated from such offerings can eliminate the negative karmic sins of our current and past parents from 7 lifetimes.
🌻 Let’s make offering for our parents, family and ourselves during Ullambana , where offering to the Sangha in the 10 directions, the merits accumulated are limitless, in the 10 directions, repaying the kindness of our parents!
🌻 It is stated in the Ullambana sutra that, if one offers food, beddings, medicine, clothings to the limitless Sangha in the 10 directions during Ullambana, the merits accumulated through the virtues of the Sangha, it can allow one’s parents from the past 7 lifetimes, current parents, family members and relatives  to be freed from the 3 miserable realms, and also allow current lifetime parents and donors’ to have longevity and be healthy, free from sickness and worries, abundance of clothings and food, body and mind are happy and at ease. 

💫 Merits of sponsors:
🌻 merits accumulated from supporting the monastery to propagate the Dharma to benefit all beings, will be dedicated to sponsors to seek blessings. 
🌻 meal offerings to Sangha and masses on The Grand Ullambana Puja.

💫 Monastery will acknowledge donations by:
🌻 Offer an Ullambana receptacle filled with a variety of food offerings on behalf of the donor. May the donor be blessed with abundant clothing and food in every lifetime, and enjoy boundless happiness, peace, and joy.
🌻 In addition, items in the receptacle: will be equipped with all the smooth conditions to learn the Dharma life after life. 
🌻 Dedication names will be respectfully displayed on the Shrine Hall dedication board throughout the Puja. Through the prayers of the congregation, the merits of the puja will be dedicated, with prayers for peace, auspiciousness, and the perfect fulfillment of blessings and wisdom.
🌻 Merits accumulated from Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva Repentance recitation,  The Ullambana Sutra, offerings to Buddha and Sangha, and all rituals from seeking blessings and departed loved ones: eliminate all karmic obstacles and obscurations, calamities for longevity, healthy body and mind, successful career, increasing wealth, prosperity and honour, all matters auspicious with increasing bliss and wisdom, meeting the Triple Gem life after life, develop spirit of enlightenment to attain Buddhahood. 

★ Note: The puja will end on August 30, and the monks will receive the offerings from the Ullambana Grand Puja and make blessings. Donors can come to receive the food offerings to share with their families. (Please show the receipt at the service counter between 30/08/2026 - 06/09/2026.)
