B) Benefits of making light offering:
It is mentioned in the Sutra of Merit and Virtue of the Past Vows of Master Vaidurya Light Tathagata that if one recites the sutra 49 times, lights 49 lamps, creates 7 Tathagata statues, and before each statue, offer 7 lights of which the illumination is as big as a cart wheel, for 49 days, the brilliance (of the merits) will be inexhaustive.
Offer Medicine Buddha Thousand-Eye Lamp to all Buddhas to illuminate the 3 billion world systems to benefit all beings to be free from suffering and pain, attain wisdom, and for all wishes to be fulfilled and perfect.
